British Library Access Road

Demolition of retaining walls, breaking up roads and pavings, excavations and archaeology works.  Construction of new road and associated works including precast and insitu reinforced concrete retaining walls, drainage, external services, fencing and gates.  Steel sheet piling alongside existing live underground plant room, including isolation and waterproof membranes.

 

All works had to be undertaken in a phased manner to ensure no disruption to existing visitor routes to the British Library that were maintained fully operational at all times.

 

The project was completed to programme and within cost budgets.
